Want to Know More About Lammas / Lughnassad?

Lammas / Lughnassad is the only Sabbat that does not have a major Christian holy day or celebration attached to it. It is still a sacred time--as summer winds to a close it is the beginning of preparations for the Dark Time of the year. The Celtic Sun God, Lugh rules this special time as does John Barleycorn, who puts all of his energy in the crops and lays down to die beckoning the coming Fall season. It is thought that in times past, many fairs and festivals were happening during this part of the Wheel of the Year and of course, the First Harvest was the highlight of the Summer. The harvesting of the barley, wheat and corn kept egalitarian people busy and in the fields. Celebrating the fruits of their labor with copious amounts of beer and bread (and the shaping of the bread into the Lady and the Lord) was customary. Wheels of wood or straw wreaths, decorated with flowers and ribbons were set alight and rolled down a hill to symbolize the turning of the Wheel of the Year. There was also the Burning Man tradition--the burning of a huge straw or wooden effigy representing the Sun God. You can see the trailer for the 1973 movie "Wicker Man" HERE about that (I have not found this movie for free yet online)...or attend the huge, annual festival in Black Rock, Nevada called "Burning Man" which is definitely more festie than spiritual. This year, Mercury is also going back into direct motion on this same date and the Moon will be in it's Dark phase in Leo. Surrender to the crazy! This is going to be some wild-ass energy! CALCULATE YOUR SOUL, PERSONALITY AND YEAR CARD IN TAROT

DON'T BE AFRAID OF THE MATH! To determine your soul and personality card, add the day, month and year you were born.  Take that total and add all of those numbers in a row.  If the sum is more than 22, add together the resulting numbers.  If the sum is between 10 and 22, that number is your  personality card .  Add that number together to find your  soul card . The Hidden Occult History of Moldavite

Moldavite Moldavite is one of my favorite stones and I have been using it for magick or wearing  jewelry with these stones for many years now. I can tell you firsthand that this stone does not come from just Czechoslovakia but many other places on our planet. Wherever a huge meteorite has hit, one has a chance of finding these stones...not created with any compound or mineral here on Earth, Moldavite comes from somewhere else, another planet or celestial  body. The term for this is "tektite" and there are many different kinds of these.  Moldavite has a distinctive leafy green color and almost looks like bottle glass. Buyer beware, there are many knock offs out there if you choose to buy some of these stones. Check your sources carefully. Not sure how I missed this very cool article, but it is worth checking out, lots of information here.
