So here we are at another Dark Moon as the Wheel of the Year keeps turning. The Moon is in Aquarius and Mercury is retrograde until February the 20th. It would be great to set some goals and intentions during this phase of the Moon, but perhaps many people, like myself for example, have found that their thoughts and ability to concentrate might be a bit muddled at this time.
The peak time of the New Moon/Dark Moon was earlier this morning, close to sunrise. The only reason we can't see the Dark Moon at this time is because it is blocked from our vision by the light of the Sun. This is the case with every Dark Moon/New Moon phase.
With a quick check of a handy dandy online ephemeris, the cosmic weather is as follows: in addition to the Moon in Aquarius, Saturn is also in Aquarius and Venus and Jupiter are conjunct in Aquarius, Mercury is heading backwards (retro) also in the sign of Aquarius, Mars and Uranus are both in the sign of earthy Taurus, Neptune is in watery Pisces, and far out Pluto is in Capricorn (yes, Pluto is still a planet)!
This New Moon/Dark Moon is a good time to look at what you want to accomplish in the upcoming months...get ready to set intentions after Mercury goes direct. Ground and center for now, raise your vibration to include global energies, prayer and envisioning the good for all. Do something local for the common good! Volunteer for a homeless effort or put care packages together for those in need. Clean out your closet and give away some of the things you don't want or can't use any longer.
Communicate with others in a plain and simple way and understand that you will still be misinterpreted. Allow some space for that when working out misunderstandings with friends and loved ones. And just know that this is all temporary.

DON'T BE AFRAID OF THE MATH! To determine your soul and personality card, add the day, month and year you were born. Take that total and add all of those numbers in a row. If the sum is more than 22, add together the resulting numbers. If the sum is between 10 and 22, that number is your personality card . Add that number together to find your soul card . To calculate your year card , do this: add the number of the day and the month you were born to the year you want to check your card for. Then add those numbers all together for the total. The sum of those numbers is your year card . Your year card is in effect and you are under it's influence from your last birth-date to your upcoming (or next) birth-date. If you have any questions on this, just ask me (use the contact form on this site). *I use the number 22 for the Fool in order to assign a number value to that card. **Create a chart or an old calendar and calculate p
REVIEW: Mildred Payne's Secret Pocket Oracle by Patrick Valenza/Deviant Moon

Mildred Payne's Secret Pocket Oracle in French--Second Edition Well, I gotta say, I love this little deck! It truly is pocket sized and can fit in the palm of your hand! Throw in your purse or take when you travel, it really takes up hardly any space. Patrick Valenza, the creator and artist of the Deviant Moon Tarot also created this tiny deck. I bought the original First Edition when it was initially published and the original did not have as many cards. There was an expansion pack that came out later to take the deck from the original count to the 69 cards--where it is numbered now. There is another expansion pack that I have seen on the website but not explored yet. Also on the first edition, the backs had unusually drawn designs that could be fit together to make into a really cool puzzle. Both editions came nicely packaged with extra cards, the cards were in a standard tuck-box and included a small red pouch to carry them in. The First Edition had the meanings of the car
The Hidden Occult History of Moldavite

Moldavite Moldavite is one of my favorite stones and I have been using it for magick or wearing jewelry with these stones for many years now. I can tell you firsthand that this stone does not come from just Czechoslovakia but many other places on our planet. Wherever a huge meteorite has hit, one has a chance of finding these stones...not created with any compound or mineral here on Earth, Moldavite comes from somewhere else, another planet or celestial body. The term for this is "tektite" and there are many different kinds of these. Moldavite has a distinctive leafy green color and almost looks like bottle glass. Buyer beware, there are many knock offs out there if you choose to buy some of these stones. Check your sources carefully. Not sure how I missed this very cool article, but it is worth checking out, lots of information here. This is the known history, but I have another history about this stone...maybe I will write about it someday. Enjoy reading this!
